Did you know there’s a vibrant cultural hotspot in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea where you can experience flavors, art, and vibes from around the world from the U.S. to Latin America?
Welcome to Camp Bosan (Dongducheon Special Tourist Zone for Foreigner) in Dongducheon City, a uniquely global street that attracts international visitors year-round.
In fact, nearly 40% of visitors here are from overseas, especially due to its close ties to the U.S. military base nearby.
Let’s explore what makes this area so special!

Located right outside Bosan Station on Seoul Subway Line 1, Camp Bosan is very easy to reach. As soon as you exit the station, you're greeted by an explosion of color and creativity: vibrant graffiti art that brings the street to life.
These murals and graffiti arts are the result of a public art project led by the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation between 2015 and 2019.
Artists from Italy, Russia, Thailand, Denmark, and other countries contributed to turning subway pillars and walls into striking urban canvases. ✨
Often called the “Little Itaewon of the North,” Camp Bosan is home to over 170 shops, including international clubs, big-size clothing stores, cozy craft studios, and hair salons catering to foreign customers. The area was designated as a Foreign Tourist Zone in 1997 due to its longstanding ties with the U.S. military, which began in the 1950s.
Today, the meaning of “Camp” has evolved beyond its military roots. It now stands for a “Culture & Art Market Place”, where people from diverse backgrounds gather, live, and celebrate cultural exchange.
One of the main attractions of Camp Bosan is its World Food Street, a fusion food haven where you can sample dishes from nine different countries all in one place!
With 15 unique food houses, this culinary alley offers everything from bold Latin flavors to Southeast Asian delicacies. Whether you're craving something spicy, savory, or sweet, there’s something here to suit every palate.
World Food Street operates March through November, mostly in the afternoons and evenings, so plan your visit accordingly for the best experience.
