Located in Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province, the Korean Traditional House Village is a place where you can truly experience the timeless beauty and history of traditional Korean architecture.
Here, over 400-year-old hanok houses have been carefully relocated and restored.
Surrounding them are zelkova and pine trees that are said to be more than a thousand years old, creating breathtaking scenery that changes with each season.
Nestled at the foot of Namhansanseong Fortress, the village offers a variety of cultural experiences, from hanok stays and traditional tea experiences to relaxing moments at the on-site café. It’s the great place to immerse yourself in Korean culture for a day.
If you’re a fan of the Korean variety show <Running Man>, the village might look familiar since it was featured in Episode 663. Located just about an hour’s drive from central Seoul, it’s also a great destination for a short getaway.
As you stroll through the village, you’ll encounter scenes filled with hanok architecture, trees, flowers, and traditional ornaments, offering the feeling of stepping back in time.
