When you want to soak up the crisp autumn air but don’t feel like traveling too far, there’s a perfect spot just outside Seoul.

This riverside park in Namyangju City is beautiful year-round, but right now it’s especially famous for its vibrant fields of cosmos flowers.

With the arrival of fall, the park is bursting with seasonal blooms, creating a dreamy landscape along the Han River. Sitting on a bench, gazing at the gentle ripples of the water surrounded by endless flowers, you’ll find yourself slowing down and breathing a little easier.

For those who love to stay active, the park also features scenic biking and walking trails along the river. The wide-open spaces make it perfect for a picnic or a leisurely stroll. Families will especially appreciate the playgrounds and sprawling lawns where kids can run freely.

One of the park’s hidden gems is the birch forest trail. Stretching 410 meters, this barefoot path lets you take off your shoes and reconnect with nature. At first the soil may feel unfamiliar, but soon your feet adjust, and you’ll feel lighter, almost refreshed with every step.
