This unique space is at the heart of Korea’s upcycling movement, aiming to build a future-oriented, resource-circulating society. It offers hands-on experiences, exhibitions, and educational programs for all ages.

Upcycling goes beyond simple recycling. It’s the process of transforming discarded materials into new, higher-quality products or artworks. It’s eco-conscious, creative, and totally on trend! ✨

At Gyeonggi Upcycle Plaza, you can learn all about upcycling through interactive experiences, exhibits, and workshops.

The space is divided into four zones, each offering something unique:

 

1. Creative Plaza: Use tools like 3D printers, sewing machines, and cutting plotters to bring your upcycling ideas to life! Hands-on workshops and educational programs help visitors of all skill levels explore their creative side.

2. Promotion Hall: Discover the meaning and importance of resource circulation through engaging displays. Learn how something as simple as a plastic bottle cap can be turned into a beautiful new creation. You’ll also pick up practical recycling tips you can use at home!

3. Material Exhibition Room: See and touch various upcycled materials like scrap fabric, old banners, and used leather. You'll be amazed at how these discarded items are repurposed into valuable resources. There’s even a material search system to explore detailed info about waste materials and how they’re reused.

4. Circular Creative Office: Want to try precision 3D printing or laser cutting? This space lets you experiment with secondary processing of raw materials using advanced upcycling equipment.
