Korea AI International Film Festival!!

Join the Generative AI Video Content Competition and become one of the winners of the grand prize pool of KRW 81million!

We are calling for various video content utilizing generative AI. This competition is an excellent opportunity to explore new storytelling methods through AI technology and to explore the potential development of the film industry.

The submission period runs from August 1, 2024, to September 6, 2024, with the main event taking place on Friday, October 25, 2024, at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2, Hall 6.

[Theme]
'New Opportunities Presented by AI'
This competition aims to support the creation of video content using generative AI, exploring new possibilities and mutual growth in content creation in the AI era.

[Categories]
Narrative Contents: Films or videos with a narrative created using generative AI
Documentary Contents: Documentaries created using generative AI
Arts & Culture Contents: Artistic, musical, or dance videos created using generative AI
Free Format Contents: Videos of any genre created using generative AI

A total of 27 works will be selected after discussions among the judges, and a total prize pool of 81 million KRW will be awarded. Prizes are as follows:

Grand Prize: 1 winner, 20 million KRW
First Prize (per category): 4 winners, 7 million KRW each
Second Prize (per category): 4 winners, 3 million KRW each
Third Prize (per category): 16 winners, 1 million KRW each
Special Prize (Global South Prize): 1 winner, 5 million KRW


[Submission Guidelines]

Submission Period: August 1 to September 6, 2024, 11:55 PM (KST)
Requirements: Videos must be significantly created using generative AI technology.
The recommended runtime is around 10 minutes, with a minimum of 90 seconds. No restrictions on the production year; open to participants of all nationalities, genders, and ages.
How to Submit: Submit the application form via email (aiff@gcon.or.kr) or through a designated submission platform.
Video Submission: Provide a URL for viewing (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube), with password protection recommended.

[Selection and Award Ceremony]

Judging Criteria: Works will be evaluated based on artistic quality, originality, and the level of AI technology utilization. Notification: Selected works will be individually notified by October 4, 2024.
Withdrawal and Disqualification: If any discrepancies are found in the submitted content, the selection may be canceled.
Other Regulations: Entrants are responsible for securing the copyright and licenses for their works, and the festival is not liable for any legal issues. Selected works may be used for festival promotional purposes and for non-commercial screenings and promotions. Selected works must be resubmitted in screening format, with screening dates, times, and locations determined by the festival. We look forward to your innovative creations!
