Established in 2015, the center is housed in a traditional Hanok structure and aims to perpetuate traditional arts and culture while promoting the cultural heritage of the Suwon area.

The facility is currently operated jointly by the City of Suwon and the Suwon Cultural Foundation.

The center comprises two main sections: the Traditional Lifestyle Experience Hall and the Etiquette Education Hall, each offering a broad range of cultural experiences.

In the Traditional Lifestyle Experience Hall, visitors can engage in various one-day classes and educational programs centered around traditional and royal Korean cuisine.

These include making Yakgwa (Korean traditional sweets), exploring the culture of Kimchi making, and crafting traditional confectioneries. This hall serves as a wholesome educational space dedicated to teaching and exhibitions.

The Etiquette Education Hall offers specialized education in traditional etiquette, ranging from the spirit of public service and practical learning philosophies to tea ceremonies, life manners, traditional women's crafts, and character education for youth, along with outreach programs.
