Allow us to introduce a hidden gem in Gyeonggi Province that many foreign visitors might not know about.
Created in year 1953, it’s Baekun Lake in Gyeonggi Province’s Uiwang City.
Originally designed to facilitate the smooth supply of agricultural water, Baekun Lake became an artificial lake after the surrounding agricultural land disappeared due to industrialization and urbanization.
Now, nestled in the flatland where the Cheonggyesan, Baekunsan, and Moraksan mountains meet, it boasts a picturesque landscape.
With an array of restaurants and cafes, it’s become a hot spot that continually attracts local visitors!
A roughly 3km Baekun Lake deck walkway has been established, perfect for leisurely strolls.
Well-maintained large parking lots and docks for motor and pedal boats offer plenty of entertainment, making it an ideal spot for family outings or dates for couples.
Lotte Premium Outlets Time Villas is also located very close to the lake, drawing many tourists to both places.
