Korea's top-class classical performance centered around the DMZ will take place this November 💫

Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the September 25 that the 'DMZ OPEN International Music Festival,' featuring top domestic and international artists, will be held at the Aram Nuri Concert Hall in Goyang from November 4 to 11. The overall planning is led by Art Director Lim Mi-Jung.

The DMZ OPEN International Music Festival serves as the pinnacle and finale of the DMZ Open Festival, which advocates 'DMZ, A Greater Peace'!

This music festival will feature performances by notable artists such as Kim Tae-Han, winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in the vocal category, Roman Federico, first prize winner of the Horowitz International Piano Competition, Han Jae-Min (Cello), winner of the Yoon Isang International Music Competition, Kim Eun-Chae, winner of the Carl Flesch International Violin Competition, and others. Additionally, performers like Dmitry Shone (Piano), Anna Genushene (Piano), Park Hye-Ji (Percussion), Lim Hee-Young (Cello), and Lim Mi-Jung (Piano) will also be participating. Furthermore, renowned Korean orchestras such as the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, and Gwacheon Civic Symphony Orchestra will be taking the stage.

Art Director Lim Mi-Jung, the overall planner of the event (DMZ OPEN Festival Director), expressed, "I hope this music festival will contribute to expanding understanding about humanity and peace beyond the dark history of the DMZ," and added, "I hope you will join us in the footsteps of peace led by these young maestros."

Tickets for the festival will be available for purchase from the evening of September 25 on the Goyang Aram Nuri website and from September 26 on Interpark, with all proceeds being donated. Prices range from KRW 50,000, KRW 40,000, to KRW 20,000 for the opening day, and KRW 80,000, KRW 50,000, KRW 40,000, and KRW 30,000 for the closing day, with a flat rate of KRW 30,000 for other days. Gyeonggi residents can enjoy a 20% discount.
