To support reading and leisure during the summer vacation season, Gyeonggi Province will expand its e-book service through the Gyeonggi Province Cyber Library starting from July 19.
The collection will include 201 newly published and popular books, with a total of 1,500 e-books available for borrowing.
Additionally, a subscription-based e-book service with simultaneous access without reservations or waiting will be introduced, reflecting user demand. Starting from August 1, users will be able to borrow up to 10 books per person (5 e-books and 5 audiobooks), doubling the current limit of 5 books per person (3 e-books and 2 audiobooks).
As a result, from August onwards, Gyeonggi Province Cyber Library members with completed real-name authentication will be able to enjoy up to 22 e-books for free. The borrowing period for general e-books will be 5 days, while for subscription-based e-books, users can borrow up to 10 books per month (including 5 audiobooks) for 15 days. English e-books will have a borrowing limit of 2 books per person for 14 days. More detailed instructions can be found on the Gyeonggi Province Cyber Library website.
As of June 2023, the Gyeonggi Province Cyber Library offers a total of 89,000 electronic publications (physical e-books, subscription-based e-books, and English e-books) to more than 340,000 members, with an average of 2,560 loans per day.
We hope that this service will be helpful to users who wish to spend a rewarding vacation indoors, enjoying cool and relaxing reading time during the hot and rainy summer. 📚
