Let’s take a look at a great arboretum for a family outing on weekends that officially opened in May 2023. Located in Suwon City, close to Seoul, Yeongheung Arboretum is a healing destination in Gyeonggi Province where visitors can see various types of trees and diverse flowers.
Yeongheung Arboretum offers a range of experiences, from indoor conservatories to outdoor forest trails where you can truly commune with nature. The arboretum provides plenty of resting spots along the way, allowing you to take a break while enjoying the surroundings. Since it just recently opened, everything is still clean and well-maintained, which adds to its charm.
In the conservatories, you can find exotic plants such as banana and coconut trees that you would typically see overseas. It is a recommended spot for those who want to take a break from their daily routine and relax while discovering rare plant species. The forest experience zone in Yeongheung Arboretum also includes playground facilities for children, and there are beautifully designed photo zones along the deck path from the entrance. Every corner of the forest can serve as a photo zone.
Yeonggheung Arboretum is conveniently located about 1 km from Cheongmyeong Station on the Suin-Bundang Line, making it easily accessible by public transportation.
