Gyeonggi Province is recruiting trainees for the "2023 Gyeonggi Metaverse Academy" until June 25, aiming to foster specialized personnel in the metaverse field. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 60 trainees will be selected, including 30 for the basic course and 30 for the advanced course; the education program itself will be conducted over a three-month period that starts in July. The selected trainees will have the opportunity to attend 100 hours of offline lectures at the Gyeonggi VR·AR Production Hub Center located in the Gwanggyo district of Suwon City without being required to pay any separate tuition fees.

The education program will cover various aspects of metaverse (VR/AR) industry talent development and content development, including planning, development, and design. The curriculum will encompass seven fields: metaverse platform-based content production; programming and 3D modeling using Unity, a content creation tool for immersive technologies (VR/AR/XR); metaverse platform creator education; planning and production of project portfolios; expert mentoring and special lectures; job competency testing and consulting; and a hackathon (scheduled for September).
