Suwon Museum offers a variety of attractions all in one place. You can visit the Suwon History Museum, which allows you to experience the history of Suwon and showcases clothing, hats, bags, and more from the past in Korea. The museum vividly reproduces the past through audio, making it even more unique and fascinating.
First Floor Exhibition Hall
The first floor features a special exhibition hall currently showcasing the "Traces of 60 Years of Festival Scenes" photo exhibition, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival. It vividly presents the festival scenes of the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival, which started in 1964. Since the 2000s, the festival has evolved into a dynamic and spectacular large-scale event, attracting the attention of domestic and international tourists. We can look forward to more exciting festivals in the future.
On the second floor, you will find the Calligraphy Museum and the Suwon History Museum. The Calligraphy Museum displays the flow of Korean calligraphers through different periods, showcasing various calligraphy-related exhibits. The Suwon History Museum allows you to explore the long history of Suwon, from prehistoric times to the Three Kingdoms, Goryeo, Joseon, the 60s, and modern Suwon. It also recreates the interior of the Suin Line, which connected Suwon and Incheon, aiming to plunder the Cheonil Salt Field on the West Coast in 1937. Like a drama set, the Suwon of the 60s vividly portrays the atmosphere and appearance of old Suwon. With the accompanying audio, the experience becomes even more immersive. Additionally, there is an experiential space where you can try on old school uniforms, bags, hats, and more, making it a great place to explore with children. The exhibition concludes by introducing the independence activists of Suwon.

Take bus 7000 or 7001 in front of Sadang Station Exit 4 and get off at Kyonggi University Suwon Campus Back Gate/Suwon Museum.
