Today, we will share some useful sites that can help you when you have lost valuables like a cell phone, wallet or laptop in Korea.

LOST 112 is an integrated system that the National Police Agency uses to provide information about lost and found items to the public. It has all the information about such items as reported by police stations as well as by public lost and found agencies nationwide.

If you happen to lose an item at an airport or on public transportation, please refer to the information below on how to recover that item from an airport via courier as well as how to find items lost on a bus or subway.

How to report lost items.
1. Click ‘Report Lost Items’ on the website after creating an www.lost112.go.kr account.
2. Complete the lost item report form.
3. After completing, click the save button (reports cannot be changed after saving).

How to find lost items:
1. Select the “Did You Lose Something?” menu in www.lost112.go.kr
2. Enter the category of the item you want to find and click "Find".
3. If you find your lost item on the list, view a map for the related office and visit in person.

2. How to recover lost items from Gimpo Airport by courier.
Solution: Inquire through the Gimpo Airport Lost and Found Center
How:
- Call the Gimpo Airport Lost and Found Center (02:2660-4097)
- Report the lost item / Leave your phone number
- When you receive a message confirming the item, send your ID, name, phone number and the address at which you wish to receive the item to the email address provided in the message. After receiving the information, the item will be sent to you by courier (payment on delivery)

3. Find items lost on a bus
Solution: Call the relevant Gyeonggi Province bus company
How:
1. Visit the Gyeonggi Province bus information site: https://gbis.go.kr

2. Search for the bus route corresponding to where you lost the item
3. Click on the route number
4. Click on the route information at the lower right of the screen (route information is visible on the upper left when accessing by PC)
5. Call the indicated bus company using the phone number provided with the route information.

4. Find items lost on the subway
Solution: Find the location and phone number of the lost and found center for the corresponding subway line and call to inquire.

5. Find items lost in a taxi
Solution: Refer to the two methods below.
1. Paid by card: Contact your card company to get the contact information of the corresponding taxi company and contact them.
2. Paid by cash: Contact the taxi driver using the phone number written on the receipt.
