Bringing Back Nature: Clean Valley Project of Gyeonggi-do

Gyeonggi-do's clean valley project has been successfully bringing nature back. It is still on its way to make the city greener.

One of Gyeonggi-do's most important projectsin 2020 has been the realization of cleaner valleys that support local citizens and retailers by revitalizing nature. Particularly, the province aims to improve convenience through public spaces – such as parking lots, restrooms, lakes, streams, and more – that take local characteristics in consideration. It aims to empower communities by developing cultural tourism related to streams and valleys, which will in turn enhance local economic growth. In addition to this, Gyeonggi-do plans to find more ways in which to preserve clean and sustainable streams and valleys.
