Gyeonggi Province leads vitalization of healthy gaming industry

Gyeonggi Province of the Republic of Korea is striving to alter negative perceptions so as to create a ‘healthy gaming culture’ industry.

Together with Gwangmyeong City, Gyeonggi Province has been operating a gaming culture vitalization project since 2021 while simultaneously building a cooperative system for the vitalization of wholesome gaming culture and e-sports.

The province is in the process of establishing an e-sports training center for the systematic training of e-sports players and related professionals. It is doing this with the ‘Gyeonggi Gaming Culture Center,’ which is pursuing a project to foster healthy gaming culture.

Gyeonggi Province also held the 2021 PlayX4, the largest convergence game show in the Korean capital region.

Marking its 12th anniversary last year, the show was the largest such exhibition hosted by Gyeonggi Province to date. Attracting many visitors, the it was deemed a success.

In addition, opportunities were also provided to secure national diversity and facilitate actual investment thorough the participation of major buyers from China in the export conference (B2B). 😄

Gyeonggi Province is working to establish friendly global relations through such convergence game shows.
